ACI/CFA Residential Foundation Technician Certification Exam

The spring of 2020 will see another regional opportunity for individuals interested in obtaining the ACI certification known as the Residential Foundation Technician. It will be held during Spring Convention week for ACI in Rosemont, IL at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare. A seminar will be offered during the morning from 8 until 11:00 am. After a break, the exam will take place from noon to 2:30 pm. CFA members are able to register for the exam and seminar (which includes the study materials used during the open-book exam) for $415. Non-members may register for $500.
This is also the pre-qualification exam for any contracting company becoming an CFA Certified Contractor. The exam consists of 80 multiple choice questions covered in a maximum two and one-half hour (2.5 hrs) period. The exam is open book and based from the brand new Certification Reference Binder obtained through the CFA or directly from ACI.
A 70% pass/fail rate is established for this certification and with a passing grade, applicants achieve the credentials of Residential Foundation Technician while companies achieve the pre-qualified status for the next steps towards becoming a Certified Contractor. It is important that you purchase and study the Certification Reference Binder ahead of time to prepare for the exam. CFA member rates available through registration process, form or by contacting CFA Headquarters.
