ACI/CFA Residential Foundation Technician Training and Certification
May 17 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
This seminar and exam has been scheduled for those seeking to become a Certified Residential Foundation Technician, which places a heavy emphasis on knowing the ACI 332 Residential Concrete Code. This code was originally published in 2004 and became an optional reference found in the International Residential Code. Today, states like Wisconsin have begun adopting this as the framework for residential concrete minimum requirements.
In 2007, the CFA established a certification program for individuals of organizations as a way of demonstrating knowledge and use of all the major code and industry technical resources available. This creates a better framework for productive conversations and improving the overall quality of residential concrete.
The event will begin at 8:30 am with a three-hour seminar covering these technical resources. A lunch break will be scheduled and is on your own. Reconvening at 12:30 pm, a 2.5-hour exam will be given, multiple choice and sent to ACI for grading. Successfully passing this exam will result in the individual receiving a certificate and rating as a Certified Residential Foundation Technician for a 5-year period. This is also a Level I requirement for a company seeking to become a CFA-Certified Residential Foundation Company.
